Craftsmanship That Starts With Listening

Every home has a story, and we believe the cabinetry inside it should feel just as personal. That’s the idea that inspired Platinum Woodworking when Dean Rovedo Jr. founded the business in 2011; while he spent his early years completing a wide range of custom carpentry projects, he found himself drawn to one craft more than any other: designing and building cabinetry that truly fits the people who use it every day. That passion eventually grew into a dedicated custom cabinet shop where thoughtful design, careful planning, and quality workmanship come together under one roof.

Today, after 15 years in the Custom Cabinetry & Millwork industry, we continue to approach every project with the same mindset. Before we think about materials or finishes, we take the time to understand how you live, what challenges you’d like to solve, and what you want your finished space to feel like. Those conversations shape everything we build, from the first measurements to the final installation.

We specialize in custom cabinets that are made specifically for your home instead of forcing standard products into spaces where they don’t belong. Every project is carefully measured, thoughtfully planned, and built with close attention to detail so the finished result looks like it has always been part of your home. It’s a process that allows us to create storage that feels natural, functions beautifully, and reflects your personal style.

Serving homeowners and builders throughout the Tri-State region from our local artisan wood shop, we’re proud to serve homeowners, builders, property developers, and interior designers throughout our service area. Whether you’re updating one room or planning cabinetry for an entire home, we want you to enjoy the experience as much as the finished product. For us, success isn’t measured by the number of cabinets we build. It’s measured by the smile on your face when you see your completed space for the very first time.

The Principles That Guide Every Project

Our Values

Craftsmanship That Speaks for Itself

Craftsmanship That Speaks for Itself

We believe exceptional cabinetry begins long before the first board is cut. It starts with listening, thoughtful planning, and taking the time to understand how each space will be used every day. That’s why we never rely on one-size-fits-all designs or shortcuts. Every cabinet, closet, and built-in is carefully planned around your home so it looks like it has always belonged there. From accurate measurements to the final installation, we focus on the details that make a noticeable difference. Our goal is simple: create cabinetry that’s beautiful to look at, enjoyable to use, and built to serve your family for years to come. When your project is complete, we want you to feel proud every time you walk into the room.

Relationships Built on Trust

Inviting someone into your home is a big decision, and we never take that responsibility lightly. We believe great communication is just as important as quality craftsmanship, which is why we make time to answer questions, discuss ideas, and keep you informed throughout the project. We enjoy getting to know the people we work with because every family uses their home differently. Those conversations help us create cabinetry that truly reflects your lifestyle instead of following a standard formula. By treating every project with honesty, respect, and genuine care, we build lasting relationships with homeowners, builders, designers, and developers across our service area.

Designed Around the Way You Live

No two homes are exactly alike, and we believe your cabinetry should reflect that. Whether you’re hoping to create a more organized kitchen, a walk-in closet that simplifies your mornings, or built-ins that make better use of your living space, every design begins with your goals. We pay close attention to how your family lives, works, entertains, and stores everyday items so the finished result feels comfortable and practical from day one. Rather than simply adding storage, we focus on creating spaces that make daily routines easier while complementing the character of your home. It’s this thoughtful approach that allows us to build cabinetry you’ll appreciate every single day.

Meet Our Team

Behind every project is a team that genuinely enjoys creating spaces people will use every day. At Platinum Woodworking, we believe great craftsmanship comes from working together, paying attention to the smallest details, and treating every home with the same care we’d give our own. From the first design conversation to the final installation, we’re committed to making the experience enjoyable, collaborative, and focused on your goals. Whether we’re building cabinetry for a homeowner or partnering with a builder or designer, our goal is always the same: create beautifully crafted work that fits naturally into your space and reflects the quality we’re proud to stand behind.

Dean

Founder & Master Craftsman

Dean founded Platinum Woodworking back in 2011, guiding the business over the last 15 years from general custom carpentry into a premier, full-scale custom cabinet shop. Driven by a true passion for precision cabinetry and custom closets, he loves nothing more than taking a design from paper and transforming it into a functional centerpiece for a homeowner’s space. Dean has built the company’s reputation entirely on results, maintaining a high standard where a project isn’t finished until the client is completely thrilled. When he is finally off the clock, you can usually find him outside, tackling projects around his own yard or cheering on his kids from the sidelines of the soccer field.

Wyatt

Custom Builder & Artisan

Wyatt specializes in bringing custom projects to life from scratch, masterfully handling every single step of the process from raw wood to the final finish. Having recently graduated from high school, he is thrilled to be transitioning from his part-time role into a full-time position right here in the shop. His passion for working with his hands started early by building projects alongside his dad, and today he has a real sweet spot for unique, intricate builds that require fine detail and absolute precision. Wyatt loves the collaborative, high-energy vibe of the shop floor and working with a crew that genuinely cares about the craft. Outside of work, he keeps moving by riding his dirtbike, hitting live concerts, running, or just kicking back with friends and family.
